Dolphins at Patriots: Final Injury Report

Expect Cameron Wake to have a significant role for the first time since Week 2 for the Dolphins on Sunday.

For the first time since Week 1, the Miami Dolphins will likely be at full strength for their Week 8 matchup with the New England Patriots.

After missing last Sunday’s game versus the Bills, middle linebacker Dannell Ellerbe is set to make his return to the lineup in Foxborough.

I also expect defensive end Cameron Wake and nickel cornerback Dimitri Patterson to see their roles increased on Sunday after being eased back from injuries a week ago.

The only real mystery surrounding the Dolphins is whether Bryant McKinnie will start at left tackle only six days after being acquired from the Baltimore Ravens.

If McKinnie starts, Jonathan Martin will slide over to right tackle and Tyson Clabo will have a seat on the bench.

For the Patriots, defensive tackle Tommy Kelly has already been ruled out. And with Vince Wilfork and Jerod Mayo out for the season, Kelly’s absence should be felt against Miami’s running game.

Wide receiver Danny Amendola is listed as questionable, but all indications are pointing to him being in the lineup.

Cornerback Aqib Talib is also questionable, but his prospects of playing are a little more uncertain. Talib has arguably been New England’s defensive MVP so far this season, so he would be missed against Ryan Tannehill, Mike Wallace and the Dolphins’ aerial attack if he’s a no-go or even if he isn’t 100 percent.
