The Dolphins announced Friday that the team has placed defensive tackle Davon Godchaux on injured reserve, meaning he’s going to miss some time moving forward.
Godchaux has been a leader on defense over the last four years, starting 42 of 56 games. He also has 16 tackles from the defensive tackle spot thus far in 2020.
“We’re still talking through our options on this one. I don’t have a concrete answer for you as far as any moves we’re going to make,” Dolphins coach Brian Flores stated Wednesday about Godchaux.
One option for Miami is to start giving a chance to Raekwon Davis, picked in the second round of this past April’s draft from Alabama.
Godchauxwas a fifth-round pick (178th overall) by Miami in the 2017 NFL draft, totaling 179 tackles (100 solo), three sacks, two passes defensed and one forced fumble.
