DE Dion Jordan Suspended First Four Games Into 2014

Dion Jordan

Dolphins defensive end Dion Jordan will miss the team’s first four regular-season games this season after being found to have violated the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing substances, the Palm Beach Post reports.

The NFL says Jordan will be allowed to participate in all off-season and pre-season practices and games.

In a statement, Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin said Jordan has accepted responsibility for his actions and is “committed to improving, both on and off the field.”

Jordan, in a statement, said he tested positive for stimulants banned by the NFL, saying, “I’m very sorry for the impact of this situation on my teammates, coaches, Stephen Ross, the entire Dolphins organization, fans and my family as well.”
