On Monday, three players of the Miami Dolphins were honored by being named 2013 All-AFC Team. Defensive end Cameron Wake, punter Brandon Fields, and cornerback Brent Grimes were handed the achievement by the Professional Writers of America.

Wake’s 8.5 sacks in 2013 including two forced fumbles and 37 total tackles has Wake attending his third consecutive Pro Bowl. At the age of 31, Wake has become one of the best pass rushers in the NFL earning several awards and honors since getting his start with the Dolphins in 2009.

Grimes became a top cornerback in his first season with the Dolphins in 2013 recording 60 tackles, 16 passes defensed, and four interceptions. Grimes came back after missing the entire 2012 season to a torn achilles.

After leading the NFL one year ago in average yards a punt (50.2), Fields was overlooked in Pro Bowl voting. One year later, Fields finally got the recognition he deserved. Fileds was fourth in the NFL with 33 punts downed inside the 20-yard line.
