The NFL will take its league overseas to London for three games in 2014. The Miami Dolphins will be featured in one of them, as they are set to face the Oakland Raiders at Wembley Stadium.
But unlike in 2007, when the Dolphins lost a home game by “hosting” the New York Giants across the pond, Miami will technically be the road team versus the Raiders, meaning all eight home games at Sun Life Stadium will remain intact.
Playing one less game on the road is never bad news. Also, avoiding a cross-country trip to California makes that news even better.
Many fans aren’t in favor of these international games, but playing in London will be a favorable situation for the Dolphins in 2014.
