AFC East Power Rankings

1. New England Patriots (5-2): New England clearly isn’t the dominant team it’s been in years past. But that’s more of a testament to how good they’ve been under Belichick and Brady than a knock on this year’s team. They remain the favorite in the AFC East despite Sunday’s loss in New Jersey.

2. New York Jets (4-3): The Jets can stop the run and the pass. They can also run the ball fairly well offensively. They’re consistent quarterback play away from emerging as a legitimate playoff-caliber team.

3. Miami Dolphins (3-3): The Dolphins are reeling at the moment. Three consecutive losses has put their playoff hopes in jeopardy. A win on Sunday in New England would thrust them right back into the conversation, however.

4. Buffalo Bills (3-4): Buffalo continues to be a competitive football team. Sooner or later, though, an opposing team is actually going play well against them.

Week 8 picks (Dolphins pick to be revealed later in week)

New Orleans 31, Buffalo 17

Cincinnati 16, New York Jets 13
