The Dolphins released their official injury report of Wednesday’s practice this evening, and it features a big surprise. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill’s name is listed. With a shoulder injury. A shoulder injury that limited him at this afternoon’s workout.
Before you panic Dolphins fans, it should be noted that this shoulder injury reportedly occurred on Miami’s opening drive of the second half in Indianapolis, when the Colts hit Tannehill, forcing him to fumble.
Obviously, Tannehill didn’t miss one snap the rest of the way. So, my hunch is, this injury is far from serious and likely won’t threaten his availability for Sunday’s home opener against the Falcons. Something to monitor, yes. But nothing to fret over.
The rest of the team’s injury report as follows:
OUT: Chris Clemons (hamstring), Paul Soliai (knee)
LIMITED: Ryan Tannehill (shoulder), Will Davis (toe), Pat Devlin (ankle), Koa Misi (knee), Dimitri Patterson (groin), Jamar Taylor (groin), Jimmy Wilson (groin)
FULL PARTICIPANT: Dannell Ellerbe (ribs), Nate Garner (shoulder), John Jerry (knee), Dion Jordan (shoulder), Mike Pouncey (ankle), Olivier Vernon (thumb)
