Dolphins add OG Brian Thomas, waive OT Patrick Ward

In a move to add depth along the interior offensive line, the Miami Dolphins have signed rookie Brian Thomas.

Thomas is a 6’3″, 315 pound offensive guard that played his college ball at Texas A&M.

The Dolphins have been short-handed at guard while free-agent acquisition Lance Louis (ACL) and third-round pick Dallas Thomas (shoulder) have been sitting out OTAs with injuries.

The addition of Thomas simply gives the Dolphins a healthy body at the position. Thomas isn’t expected to seriously compete for a roster spot in training camp, but crazier things have happened.

To make room for Thomas, the Dolphins waived rookie offensive tackle Patrick Ward.
