After months of speculation and three days of bedlam, the 2013 NFL Draft is officially in the books. There were a plethora of directions the Dolphins could have went in this draft, but chose to potentially put the finishing touches on what could be a top five defense.
Miami’s draft class has received some mixed reviews from national pundits.
Radio/television personalities Colin Cowherd and Skip Bayless were extremely critical of Jeff Ireland’s decision to trade up in the first round for Dion Jordan.
But draft grades are coming in and the Dolphins seem to be grading out quite well. Yahoo Sports’ Jason Cole, for example, gives the Dolphins his only A in the entire AFC.
Personally, I don’t like to touch on draft grades. After all, looking back on these grades a year or two from now will be futile. How each of these rookies perform on the field will ultimately prove how successful or not this draft was for Jeff Ireland.
Having said that, I still want to hear from our readership here at Dolphins Gab. Tell me what grade you would give the Dolphins’ 2013 draft class. If you’re not in to the post-draft grading thing either, simply tell me which picks you liked or which selections you didn’t care for.
