The Dolphins have selected Boise State cornerback Jamar Taylor with their second-round choice and the 54th overall pick of the draft. Miami snags one of the top corners in the draft and a player that is expected to be ready to contribute right away.
Taylor is a versatile corner that can play in any system and possesses a great combination of athleticism and physicality. If he is paired with a healthy Brent Grimes, the Dolphins’ secondary could be substantially better than the unit that surrendered the sixth most passing yards in 2012.
Any hope the Kansas City Chiefs had in acquiring a second-round pick in exchange for Branden Albert is now officially lost.
