The Dolphins summer QB battle is truly now a battle, as first-round pick Ryan Tannehill is officially inked.
A league source told Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk Saturday evening that the Dolphins and Tannehill have agreed to terms on a four-year deal.
The deal includes a club option for a fifth, as is the case with all first-round contracts. Florio reports that Miami did makes some concessions in the deal, but the rookie QB didn’t want to miss a lot of training camp time, which could have kept him from being the starter from day one if he can beat out Matt Moore and David Garrard.
Tannehill was staying at the IMG Performance Institute in Bradenton, Florida, which was three-hours away from the Dolphins’ facility, so he will be there to report for practice on Sunday.
