Bush’s Record Setting Day Lifts Dolphins to 30-23 Win Over Bills

Reggie Bush #22 of the Miami Dolphins celebrates his touchdown with Brandon Marshall

It was Reggie Bush right. Reggie Bush left. Reggie Bush all day.

The Dolphins found an effective formula for winning on Sunday in Buffalo, as Bush had his best day as a pro on the ground, going for 203 yards as the Fins topped the Bills 30-23 to improve to 5-9 on the season.

Buffalo, who started the season at 4-1 on October 9th, lost their 7th in a row and drop to 5-9 on the year.

Bush got the call 25 times in going for the 203 yards and a touchdown. The victory made a winner of Todd Bowles, this coming in his first game as interim head coach.

Bush’s 203 rushing yards was the most by a Dolphin since Ricky Williams had 216 against the Bears 9 years ago on December 9th, 2002.

His 203 yards rushing rank third on the Dolphins’ list. And Bush has three straight 100-yard games and four this season after he had just one in five seasons in New Orleans.

Matt Moore completed 10-of-20 passes for 217 yards and two touchdowns for the Dolphins, who have won five of seven since an 0-7 start.

Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 31-of-47 passes for 316 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions for the Bills in the losing effort.

C.J. Spiller carried the ball 12 times for 91 yards and a score. He also caught nine passes for 76 yards and a touchdown.

Moore showed no signs of a head and neck injury that sidelined him a week ago by throwing two touchdown passes—a 22-yarder to Anthony Fasano and a 65-yard strike to Brandon Marshall.

Cornerback Vontae Davis had two of Miami’s three interceptions and Dan Carpenter hit three field goals in helping the Dolphins win.

A solid win for the Fins, who can actually go 7-9 if they can wrap up the season with two more wins. First up is going to be a doozy, next Sunday at New England at 1pm.
