Dolphins Ink 1st Round Pick Pouncey To Deal

Only two days into training and the Dolphins finally have all of their draft picks from this year signed to deals. 1st round pick, center Mike Pouncey was the last to sign a four year deal worth $9.3 million with an option on the contract. The deal could of course increase due to playing time incentives.

Pouncey is expected to come in and start right away at center, after last years starter, Joe Berger did not perform spectacularly for the Fins.

Pouncey did miss two practices due to his contract situation, and fines up to $30,000 could be enforced by the team.

Yesterday was the 1st round picks first practice with the team, and head coach Tony Sparano said that “there’s so many natural things that he did today in practice that made him stand out.”
