Dolphins Reportedly Agree To Two-Year Deal With QB Moore

The Oregonian is reporting that the Dolphins and free agent Matt Moore have agreed in principle to a contract that would bring Moore in to compete with Chad Henne for the starting job.

The deal is believed to be for two years, and worth up to $7.5 million with incentives.

The Dolphins were previously in trade talks with the Denver Broncos for unwanted quarterback Kyle Orton. But with the talks breaking down, the Dolphins turned to Moore as their backup option.

It is unlikely that Moore beats out Henne for the starting job on such short notice. Henne has the clear advantage in camp, and after the whole Orton debacle, must be feeling like a man scorned.
