Dolphins Will Go After Quarterbacks and Running Backs Immediately After Lockout

The Dolphins will do two things once the NFL lockout is over according to Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

They will add a veteran quarterback who is experienced, and savvy enough to push — if not unseat — Chad Henne for the starting quarterback spot. Jeff Ireland and Tony Sparano’s jobs depend on it. I don’t know what name we’re talking about … . Carson Palmer, Kyle Orton, Kevin Kolb, Matt Flynn, Vince Young, Matt Hasselback, Donovan McNabb, Rex Grossman … but it will be someone. …

The Dolphins will also add a tailback who has the ability to run stretch plays, which are toss sweeps and things of that nature that get to the EDGES. Again, Kelly doesn’t know which tailback that will be, but DeAngelo Williams, Ahmad Bradshaw, Darren Sproles, Reggie Bush are the names he’s hearing from reliable sources.

  1. why not? says:

Why was Marc Bulger left off the list? I hope the QB team is Henne, Bulger,Brandstater and Devlin. I believe that Henne will improve this year with the changes made to the OL, WR, TE, and RB’s it will be a better season.

  2. NO WAY. Bulger is wayyy outta his prime for a #1 Qb duty. Bring Vince to Miami with Reggie Bush!!!
