Dolphins Shift Around and Make Moves in the Scouting Department

The Sun-Sentinel reports that the Dolphins on Tuesday made some moves in the scouting department.

The Miami Dolphins today announced three personnel moves within their scouting department, including the promotion of Chris Shea to assistant director of pro scouting.

Shea in 2010 served as the team’s Player Personnel Administrator and before that was the Dolphins’ Player Personnel Coordinator in 2008 and 2009. He is entering his 13th NFL season and fourth with Miami.

The Dolphins also announced that John Richter will be a Scouting Assistant and that Chase Leshin has been promoted to College Scouting Coordinator. Richter, a former Arena League fullback and linebacker who played tight end at N.C. State, spent the past three seasons on the strength and conditioning staff at Florida State.

Leshin, meanwhile, is entering his third season with the Dolphins. He has worked in various departments during his time with Miami, including stints in equipment, operations and special projects.
