Long limited in practice, QB Thigpen getting set to start

The National Football Post reports that Jake Long did take the field a little bit today, and there’s plenty of other guys that were limited due to injury.

Despite a shoulder injury, Miami Dolphins offensive tackle Jake Long practiced today on a limited basis. Barring a setback, Long is expected to be available for Thursday night’s game against the Chicago Bears.

Meanwhile, quarterback Chad Henne didn’t practice due to a left knee injury that’s expected to sideline him for at least one week. Tyler Thigpen is preparing to start.

Also not practicing today: center Joe Berger (knee) and free safety Chris Clemons (hamstring). Safety Tyrone Culver (ankle) and wide receiver Roberto Wallace (knee) were limited.

Safety Yeremiah Bell (toe), linebackers Karlos Dansby (elbow), Tim Dobbins (ankle), Cameron Wake (hip) and Channing Crowder (ribs), defensive end Kendall Langford (ankle), line and offensive tackle Vernon Carey (knee) participated fully.
