Both Henne and Pennington Lost For Season Says Source

According to sources close to Omar Kelly and in the know about the quarterback injuries that both Chad Pennington and Chad Henne suffered during the game today, both of our top two quarterbacks will likely be lost for the season.

This means that 3rd string quarterback Tyler Thigpen will most definitely get the start on Thursday night against the Chicago Bears.

Despite what Kelly’s source said, Chad Henne said that he will have to wait and see what the MRI says tonight before he rules himself out of Thursdays game.

“I have to get an MRI at 6:30 and we’ll see what happens from there. It doesn’t feel good. But for me, if I can stand and I can run on it, I’m going to be playing. So whatever happens, we’ll see.”

“It didn’t feel good enough to come back. But I’m not going to be one to baby my knee. If I can be in there, I’ll be in there.”

Pennington will most likely be out for the season, with his fourth shoulder injury in his career. Sadly, this could be the end of the road for Pennington as well. Henne’s career will not be ended by this injury, but his season very well could be.

The news of the quarterback situation will probably be revealed at Head Coach Tony Sparano’s press conference tomorrow, so we will all know more then. But for now I am assuming the worst, that both Pennington and Henne are out for the remainder of the season, and we will be seeing whether or not Thigpen can be the long-term answer for our team.

    Expensive day or wealthy day?

You be the judge, based on your perspective:

I think it was a rather expensive day for the Dolphins, because now they have to go out and pay CP10 all of that money, plus go out and sign at least one other quarterback.
