Miami Dolphins 2010 1st round pick, defensive end Jared Odrick now finds himself right back on the bench a la injury, where he started just shortly after Week 1 started.
After suffering a left foot injury at the end of yesterdays practice, Odrick is ruled out for the rest of the season, and likely will be placed on the injury reserve list.
Head coach Tony Sparano had some words on the injury, although he would not clarify the extent of the injury, or the specifics.
“He’s done for a long time,” said coach Tony Sparano, who wouldn’t specify the nature of the foot injury and didn’t disclose the team’s plans regarding the roster spot. “It’s disappointing for the kid. I know how hard he worked to get himself ready to go. It’s unfortunate.”
It’s a tough situation for Odrick, who had been rehabbing hard and working hard to get back into the starting lineup. He impressed the coaches and the fans during training camp and the pre-season, only to see his rookie season be over before it ever really started. Now we will all have to wait until next year to see what our first round pick can really do on the gridiron.
