Grove Waived, Procter Brought Back

The Dolphins continue to let go of all of their experienced depth with the release of backup, and former starting center Jake Grove today.

Grove had $30 million guaranteed on his contract, and the Fins will have to pay that regardless, so I do not understand this move at all. Why not keep Grove if you have to pay him no matter what?

Grove proved that he was a difference maker last year playing against the huge nose tackles of the AFC East. So why not keep him on the team as insurance?

The Dolphins brought back backup guard Cory Procter to fill the vacant roster spot left by Grove.
