Dolphins Add Carpenter, Release Anderson

The Miami Dolphins have made yet another series of roster moves today, involving their backup linebackers.

The Fins have added backup inside linebacker Bobby Carpenter to serve as a coverage specialist and special teams ace. To make room for Carpenter, the team has released veteran outside linebacker Charlie Anderson, who came into camp looking to compete with Cameron Wake for the starting weakside linebacker spot.

Because of the season ending injury to rookie and coverage ace A.J. Edds, the team was looking to strengthen their depth on the inside, and Carpenter, a former first round draft pick of Bill Parcells fits the bill.
