Free Safety Clemons a Player to Watch This Summer

Yahoo! Sports says that one player you have to keep your eye on in camp this summer is safety Chris Clemons, a 5th round pick in the 09 draft:

Free safety Chris Clemons: The 2009 fifth-round pick has the size and speed to roam the middle of the defense as a centerfielder and his 290 tackles in his last three years at Clemson show he’s not afraid to get his nose dirty. But with the jettisoning of underachieving free-agent FS Gibril Wilson, Clemons must provide better safety-net coverage to earn the starting nod over raw rookie Reshad Jones and veteran Tyrone Culver, particularly with two young corners—Vontae Davis and Sean Smith—playing in front of him. Clemons started two of his 11 games played and had six tackles. The Dolphins allowed far too many pass plays of 40 yards or more (17) last season. Culver is penciled in as the nickel back depending on Will Allen’s bounce back ability from a knee injury.
