Rookie Jones Inks Contract

The Dolphins and rookie 5th round pick Reshad Jones have come to terms on a contract this week, only weeks before training camp is set to start.

According to Harvey Fialkov of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, the deal is worth $1.95 million, over the course of four years.

On Friday, the Dolphins signed fifth-round pick safety Reshad Jones to a four-year deal worth $1.95 million with a signing bonus of approximately $160,300 and a fourth-year escalator that could significantly boost the value of the deal should Jones reach certain incentives.

Jones is competing with fellow safeties Chris Clemons, and Tyrone Culver for the starting free safety spot this year.
