Pro Football Weekly reports that the Fins have come to terms with second-round pick CB Sean Smith:
The Dolphins agreed to a deal with second-round CB Sean Smith on Thursday. The deal guarantees the long-limbed Smith $1.4 million for four years, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
Smith enjoyed a standout spring that put him in contention for a starting job opposite entrenched starter Will Allen. At 6-3, 215 pounds, Smith boasts the size that the Dolphins like to see in their defenders. He figures to face tough competition from fellow rookie Vontae Davis and free-agent signing Eric Green in training camp.
Smith is the Fins’ highest-drafted rookie to sign. Davis, QB Pat White and S Chris Clemons remain unsigned.
