Dolphins Add Michael Dee as CEO of Team

The Dolphins made a front office hire today, as they have hired former Boston Red Sox executive Michael Dee as CEO of the team. He will be responsible for business development, marketing, sales and capital stadium projects. Dee was previously the Red Sox’s Chief Operating Officer.

“I’m thrilled to be able to add someone of Mike’s background and expertise to our organization,” Dolphins owner Stephen Ross said in a statement. “His accomplishments with the Red Sox greatly expanded their business footprint and amplified the team’s standing as one of the premier franchises in professional sports.

“I know that under his leadership the Dolphins and Dolphin Stadium will continue their position as industry leaders and provide unmatched service and value to our fans and partners.”

  1. I see Mike Dee as a professional who has excellent skills sets and knows how to win. The bottom line nobody in sports is in it to come in 2nd place. What I see is he is driven by the prize of a Superbowl or World series. He is masterful through his preparation of picking staff and focused on listening and helping the communities around the sport in their city. Best of luck in 2009 and beyond.
