Broncos Ink Dolphins Free Agent CB Goodman

Today the Denver Broncos continued to raid the Miami Dolphins roster with the signing of corner back Andre Goodman. Goodman was coming off a career year, posting 39 tackles, 1 forced fumble, and a career high 5 interceptions! Goodman was an up and coming player and would only be 31 at the start of the season.

Goodman, who looks like he is currently in his prime, was a bright spot in the Dolphins secondary, and will leave considerable shoes to fill with his departure. Goodman got a 5 year deal worth $25 million and $10 million guaranteed! This deal was way too high for the Dolphins liking and the $10 million guaranteed was probably what shooed them away. Regardless of the money issues, Goodman was decent player, who came up big in big situations for us this year.

Now, the Dolphins will have to address the corner back position throughout the draft, but the only problem is that corner back is not the deepest position in the draft this year. Look for the Dolphins to try to add a CB in free agency, but if not, then maybe one of our 2nd round picks will be spent on addressing the position.

I think if the Tuna woulda wanted him, he would have kept him. I think your dead on with a second round pick being spent on a CB. Maybe we’ll get lucky and get that kid from OSU.
