In a move that was not unexpected, the Miami Dolphins waived placekicker Jay Feely, according to the Associated Press; the move comes one year after he set a team record for field-goal percentage and clears the way for undrafted rookie Dan Carpenter to take over the kicking chores. Feely made 21-of-23 FG’s while with the Dolphins last season, but was apparently not too popular with Bill Parcells and company due to his outspoken nature.
