Reality Check
With training camps underway and the first preseason game this weekend, it’s natural to have an optimistic outlook for your favorite team this time of year. And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that because every team is undefeated at this point.
But, let’s step out of the optimism and into reality for a moment. Where will the Fins be at the end of the season?
Peter Schrager from Fox Sports seems to think the Dolphins will win 2 games and could yet again struggle to keep from being winless.
Breaking down the schedule there are 7 games, we’re still in reality here folks, that the Fins should be competitive in and have a good chance of winning:
09/07 – vs. Jets
10/19 – vs. Ravens
11/16 – vs. Raiders
11/30 – @ Rams
12/14 – vs. 49ers
12/21 – vs. Chiefs
12/28 – @ Jets
They won’t likely win all 7, but 4 is in the realm of reality. Okay, back to optimism for those that disagree.

What about Buffalo? The one in Miami is more than winnable…

Hey David,
I did consider putting the Bills games on my list. I guess I’m buying into all the hype that Buffalo will be a playoff contender this year.
You make a valid point and that game could certainly be a ‘W’. Thanks for responding.
