Dave Rayner

NFL Network’s Adam Schefter is reporting that the Dolphins have cut fourth-year kicker Dave Rayner. Rayner was originally signed by the Dolphins this offseason to give some competition for starter Jay Feely in training camp, but the team evidently has gone in another direction.  Rayner played with the Chiefs for 10 games last season, going 15-for-22 in field goals, and 14-for-14 in extra points.  He has played with four teams since being the Colts 6th round pick in 2005.  He also has played with the Packers and Chargers.
