The Dolphins have waived guard Drew Mormino, a player who the coaching staff at one point felt might be good enough to compete for starting job. He was given his walking papers after failing a physical. He was taken in the 6th round last season, and in camp last season he was impressive enough to be taking reps with the first-team offense. Then the bottom fell out when he suffered a torn labrum and missed the whole season. Fourth round pick Shawn Murphy now looks as if he may be the starting right guard, as a line in transition continues to get younger.
