Dolphins Sign Free Agent Guard Justin Smiley

Dolphins have agreed to terms with free agent guard Justin Smiley, who spent each of his first four seasons with the 49′ers. The South Florida Sun-Sentinel said the deal is worth $25 million over five years with a $9 million signing bonus, and is contingent upon Smiley passing a physical today. Smiley played just eight games last season because of a shoulder injury that required surgery. He started every game of the 2005 and ‘06 seasons, and made nine starts in his rookie campaign of 2004.
