Dolphins Sign Free Agent Cornerback

The Miami Dolphins added a player to augment their secondary as on Friday, they signed free agent cornerback Joey Thomas; Thomas was a third-round pick of the Green Bay Packers from Montana State in 2004 and spent his rookie year with the team before splitting 2005 between Green Bay and the New Orleans Saints.  He was released by the Saints prior to the 2006 season and was in training camp with the Dallas Cowboys in 2007.  In 2 seasons, Thomas has played in 25 games, including one start, and had 31 tackles and 7 stops on special teams.
