Lemon To Start At QB vs. Ravens

The Palm Beach Post is reporting that according to a source close to the Miami Dolphins, Cleo Lemon will start behind center when they face the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday afternoon and may be the starting QB beyond the Baltimore game, as well. He would replace rookie QB John Beck, who started the previous 4 games in which the Dolphins failed to score a single offensive touchdown; the announcement is scheduled from team head coach Cam Cameron some time today.
With only 3 games left in the regular season, the Dolphins are opting to go with experience in the quest to avoid becoming the first NFL team to go 0-16. Beck, in his 4 starts, completed 54.7% of his passes for 424 yards and zero touchdowns with 3 interceptions. Lemon, on the other hand, has completed 56.7% of his passes for 1,164 yards and 3 touchdowns with 6 interceptions. Lemon was the QB for Miami’s last 12 offensive touchdowns - with Lemon being responsible for 7 of them. His 4 rushing TD’s tie him for the Dolphins’ lead with currently injured running back Ronnie Brown.
At this point, I don’t think it really matters who the QB for Miami is for the rest of the season; they couldn’t win with either Lemon or Beck. But since the Dolphins’ season is toast, the only way Beck is going to improve is to get more playing experience. I’d like to think that Miami drafted Beck as their QB of the future; and assuming this is the case, then how is benching Beck supposed to improve him? As it is, besides QB, the Dolphins have other issues to deal with, personnel-wise.
