Miami Dolphins running back Jesse ChatmanMiami Dolphins wide receiver Marty BookerIt appears that two offensive starters may be missing in action this weekend when the Miami Dolphins play the Buffalo Bills – wide receiver Marty Booker and running back Jesse Chatman.  The results from practice aren’t very promising; chatman missed his second straight practice because of an ankle injury that he’s been battling for the past 3 weeks.  Dolphins head coach Cam Cameron has said that if Chatman isn’t available,  the running game would be  “running back by committee”, comprising of RB’s Samkon Gado, rookie Lorenzo Booker and Patrick Cobbs.

Booker (Marty, not Lorenzo) sat out his first practice of the week because of knee soreness Thursday; he participated on a limited basis in Wednesday’s practice, but apparently needed more rest.  Assuming Booker is unavailable, the Dolphins would have only 3 healthy WR’s available unless Kerry Reed, who was cut from the Dolphins earlier this week and then signed to the practice squad on Thursday, returns to the 53-man roster.  Derek Hagan would replace Booker if he doesn’t play.
