Williams Speaks After Reinstatement

Williams spoke to the media Thursday, a day after he was reinstated by the league. Williams said though he was never thrilled with being a professional football player, he still has a passion for the game. Dolphins head coach Cam Cameron said the decision to bring Williams back was discussed with his team’s leaders and veterans. Williams hasn’t played in the NFL since 2005 because of a suspension for numerous violations of the league’s drug policy. The 1998 Heisman Trophy winner was suspended for his fourth violation in April 2006. Williams won’t be eligible to play in a game until Week 12.
