DUI charges against Chambers to be dropped

As reported by Edgar Thompson of the Palm Beach Post, the attorney for Miami Dolphins wide receiver Chris Chambers said that under the conditions of a plea deal, prosecutors are expected to drop charges of driving while impaired and reckless driving on Wednesday. Chambers will plead guilty to speeding, which stemmed from his arrest on July 14 in North Carolina.
Chambers was pulled over just south of Charlotte, NC and charged with DWI after he refused to submit to a breathalyzer and had also failed several field-sobriety tests. After being transported to the county jail, he tested a .06 on the breathalyzer test.
