Some Spots Settled, Some Up for Grabs for Fins

The Dolphins are still going through the process of putting the pieces together for their 2007 roster, and there are some positions that are still up for grabs:

Tight End – David Martin seems to have the love of his new QB Trent Green going for him, and while the team grabbed Courtney Anderson and put him so far in the starting role, I wouldn’t be shocked to see Martin step in and be a force at some point in 2007.

WR – Marty Booker has proven during camp that he still can play, and while the organization is excited to see what rookie first round choice Ted Ginn Jr. can do week in and week out, I look for Booker to stay the starter for now and Ginn to continue to get spot chances to make plays.

Left Guard – That spot on the O-line looks as if its going to go down to the last preseason game, as Drew Mormino and Chris Liwienski appear to be in a battle.  Mormino took most of the first team snaps on Tuesday, but it looks as if he and Liwienski will continue to go back and forth till coach Cam Cameron makes a decision.

#3 DB Spot – Former Cleveland Brown Michael Lehan looks as if he’s taken that spot away from Jason Allen.  Lehan looks like a better player right now, and it’s now up to Allen to step it up and prove he can grab the job back at some point.
