Dolphins Open Camp; Make Roster Moves

Cameron and Green at Camp

The Dolphins made a few roster moves before practice on Saturday for the first time, as they picked up tight end Courtney Anderson off waivers from the Oakland Raiders. As a result of the pickup, the team waived safety David Lofton.  In three seasons with the Raiders, the 26-year-old Anderson caught 62 passes for 763 yards and six touchdowns.  Last year he caught 25 passes for 285 yards and two TD’s.  He did play in all 16 games.  The team also actived free agent defensive tackle Brian Soi off the Non-Football Injury list and practiced without restriction.

Matt: Sure am glad the Dolphins got another TE. Cam uses a lot of TE plays in his Offense. The more talent we can look at the better our season will be. TEs are at a preumium right now. This is a big TE (6’6″ 270) for our QB or the oposing defenders to hit. We will see if he can run, catch a pass or block a DE or CB. The Pads are on let the Games begin.
