Porter to Lose Three Game Checks for Battery on Jones

The former Steeler is going to be fined three game checks for taking a swing at Bengls tackle Levi Jones in Las Vegas in March. NFL Network is reporting that Porter will lose $141,176, the total of three game checks, after being convicted of battery against Jones.
The report did say that Porter would not be getting suspended, only that he would be fined. Porter and a few acquaintances got into it with Jones in a casino on March 18th. Porter went after him drawing the assault charge. He pled no contest and paid a $1,000 fine for the incident, in which he could have faced six months in jail.
