Kendall on the Fins Radar if Jets Let Him Go?
Posted by Matt Loede on July 1st, 2007 filed in OpinionsCould the Dolphins be in the race to grab Jets guard Pete Kendall should he be released by the Jets? That’s the word according to reports, who say that Kendall, who has already been a major source of issues for the Jets, could find himself wearing Fins in 2007. The New York Daily News is stating that Dolphins could make a run at Kendall if he is let go, due to doubts about whether vet Chris Liwienski or 6th round pick Drew Mormino can do the job.
Kendall, who has been in the news a lot in New York, wants a pay raise from the Jets from making $1 mil a season to $1.7 mil. He is seeking his release from the team, and some reports say that he may have turned the Jets in for violating practice rules as far as going too hard and contact is concerned. A decision on Kendall should be made soon, with the Jets opening camp in late July.
